Joe Colunga filed suit today for himself and his son against blogger Robert “Capt. Bob” Sanchez and blogger/journalist Juan Montoya for libel and defamation.

The suit references an Dec. 7 article on Sanchez’s blog, RobertSanchez2011.Blogspot.com, entitled “Colunga Milking BISD.”

Attorney for the plaintiffs is Mark Sossi. Colunga is also a trustee for the Brownsville Independent School District.

Ah, Mark Sossi again, hmmmmmmm.

After re-reading the blog entry and reading the complaint, I have a couple of questions.
1) Since when is anyones use of the public education system private?

2) If the information about Stephen was so private how did Montoya get that information?

3) The article written by Montoya appears to me to be in the form of a question, rather than a statement of fact. Since when are questions a problem?

4) If Joe C. takes exception to the article why doesn't he just make a statement to set the record straight instead of wasting MY money on another frivilous lawsuit.

Sanchez has paid twice and appears to have to pay 4 times - I feel sorry for his wife - look at the picture he posted of her on his web page - she is very very sad.

Something is profoundly wrong here - I actually feel sorry for her and the kids.

You must mean that Sossi is the attorney for the plaintiffs. Montoya and Sanchez are the defendants. I somehow doubt that Sanchez would hire Sossi.

This lawsuit is a waste of time and will be thrown out of court if it even gets that far. Libel is extremely difficult to prove and then there has to be malice intended. And public figures have an even tougher burden of proof. All the info Montoya cited is public information. To paraphrase the Supreme Court, "it ain't libel if it's true."

WHEN: HAS COLUNDA DONE SOMETHING FOR US THE TAXPAYERS.

HOW: CAN WE PROVE THAT COLUNDA AND HIS FAMILY HAVE RECIEVED SPECIAL TREATMENT BECAUSE HE IS A BOARD OF TRUST.
WHERE: UNDER PUBLIC INFO ACT THE TAXPAYER CAN REQUEST IF IN FACT
COLUNDA'S FAMILY HAVE RECIEVED SPECIAL TREATMENT????

WHY: WHY IS CONLUNDA SO MAD??
WE THE TAXPAYERS SHOULD BE MADDER FOR THIS MISUSE OF OUR TAXPAYERS MONIES.

Are there other challenged ADULTS participating in BISD day care?

If not, why not?

If not....Sanchez should receive a reaward from crime-stoppers and Colunga should be investigated for abuse of power.
